Overview

System Settings contains facility-wide configuration options that affect all users and modules. Changes here are organisation-level and require Super Admin access.

General Settings

Admin > Settings > General:

  • Date and time format: DD/MM/YYYY (Indian default) or other formats.
  • Time zone: Asia/Kolkata (IST) default.
  • Session timeout: Auto-logout after inactivity (default 30 minutes, configurable 5-480 minutes).
  • Password policy: Minimum length, complexity requirements, expiry period, password history.
  • Two-factor authentication: Enable/disable, mandatory for specific roles.
  • Login notification: Email alert on login from new device.

Clinical Settings

Admin > Settings > Clinical:

  • Prescription template: Default format, header/footer, drug interaction check sensitivity.
  • Vitals: Units of measurement (metric/imperial), normal ranges by age group.
  • ICD-10 version: Select the active code set.
  • Clinical note templates: Default templates per specialty.
  • Consent form templates: Manage printable consent forms.
  • Follow-up reminder: Default follow-up days, reminder via SMS/WhatsApp.

Billing Settings

Admin > Settings > Billing:

  • Invoice format: Header, footer, terms and conditions.
  • Tax configuration: GST rates per service category, exemptions.
  • Payment modes: Enable/disable payment methods (Cash, Card, UPI, Cheque, Online, Insurance).
  • Receipt format: Print layout, duplicate receipt policy.
  • Credit limit: Default patient credit limit.
  • Rounding rules: Round bill amounts to nearest rupee.

Notification Settings

Admin > Settings > Notifications:

  • SMS gateway configuration: Provider credentials and sender ID.
  • WhatsApp Business API: Connection settings for appointment reminders.
  • Email SMTP: Server settings for email notifications.
  • Notification templates: Customise message text for appointments, lab results, bill reminders.
  • Notification triggers: Which events send notifications (appointment booked, lab result ready, bill generated).

Integration Settings

Admin > Settings > Integrations:

  • ABHA: Enable Ayushman Bharat Health Account integration.
  • Lab analyser interfaces: Configure LIS connections.
  • PACS/DICOM: Radiology system integration settings.
  • Payment gateway: Online payment processor configuration.
  • Third-party lab: External lab order routing settings.
  • Pharmacy API: Drug database and interaction checker.

Notes

Warning

Changes to billing settings (tax rates, invoice format) affect all future bills. Existing bills are not modified. Plan tax rate changes for the start of a financial period.

Clinic tip

Solo doctors: Start with General and Clinical settings. Billing and Notification settings can be configured later as needed.
