Overview

Billing Packages bundle multiple services into a single fixed-price offering. They are commonly used for surgeries, health check-ups, maternity care, and chronic disease management programs.

Package Creation

Navigate to Billing > Packages > New Package:

  1. Enter package name, category, and description.
  2. Add included services: room charges (days), surgeon fee, anaesthesia, OT charges, medicines, lab tests, radiology.
  3. Set the total package price (typically at a discount vs. individual pricing).
  4. Define validity period and applicable departments.
  5. Specify inclusions and exclusions clearly for patient communication.

Package Billing

When billing a patient under a package:

  • Select the package during bill creation.
  • All included items auto-populate with zero individual charges.
  • The package price is applied as a single line item.
  • Extra services beyond the package scope are billed separately.
  • If the patient's stay or consumption exceeds the package terms, overflow charges are computed and added.
  • Package utilization report: compare actual cost of services consumed vs. package revenue.

Notes

Tip

Review package profitability quarterly. Packages that consistently cost more than the package price should be repriced or restructured.
