Overview
The Clinical area covers the outpatient patient journey: registration, appointments, OPD queue, status updates, prescriptions where activated, referrals, consent forms, nursing surfaces, and EMR-related pages.
For Solo Doctor & Small Clinic, the day-one clinical workflow should be understood as an OPD shell and status workflow unless full clinical writes have been activated for that clinic.
Daily Workflow for a Solo Doctor
A typical small-clinic day follows this flow:
- Reception opens Front Desk Hub or Appointments.
- Walk-in patients are registered through Patient Registration and checked into OPD.
- Doctor opens Doctor Hub and starts from the OPD queue.
- Doctor completes the activated OPD/status workflow for the clinic.
- Billing/Admin reviews a billing draft in Billing.
- Any full clinical documentation, diagnosis, prescription, lab order, radiology order, or file workflow is used only if BioEcko has activated it for the clinic.
Module Pages
The Clinical module includes these public sub-pages:
- Patient Registration -- Add and manage patient demographics.
- Appointments -- Schedule and manage patient appointments.
- OPD Visits -- Manage OPD queue and activated visit workflow.
- Prescriptions -- Use only when prescription writes are activated for the clinic.
- Referrals -- Refer patients where the workflow is enabled.
- Consent Forms -- Digital consent management where activated.
- Nursing Station -- Nursing assessments and task management for clinics or hospitals that use nursing workflows.
- EMR & Patient Chart -- Patient history and record surfaces where access is activated.
Activation boundary
BioEcko separates operational shell workflows from sensitive clinical writes. Status-only OPD work can be used in the small-clinic shell. Full clinical notes, diagnoses, prescriptions, orders, clinical files, and patient chart document workflows require BioEcko activation before they should be used in live patient care.
Notes
Clinic tip
In a solo practice, one user may perform reception and doctor tasks, but permissions and activation still control what can be written.
