Overview

The ED Bed Board is a real-time visual display of every bay and bed in your emergency department. It shows patient assignments, triage categories, time-in-department, pending orders, and disposition status.

Using the Bed Board

The board displays:

Bay/bed number with patient name and triage colour
Waiting time since arrival (highlighted red if exceeding threshold)
Assigned doctor and nurse
Pending lab orders, imaging orders, and consult requests
Disposition: Admit, Discharge, Transfer, LAMA, Absconded

Drag-and-drop patients between bays to reassign. Click a patient card to open their ED chart with full clinical documentation.

Display Mode

Toggle 'Display Mode' (top-right corner) to show the board on a wall-mounted TV. Display mode:

Hides clinical details for privacy
Shows bay number, triage colour, and wait time only
Auto-refreshes every 30 seconds
Uses large fonts readable from across the room
