Overview
The NABH Compliance module helps hospitals prepare for and maintain National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers accreditation. It maps Bio Ecko's features to NABH standards, tracks quality indicators, and manages the documentation required for accreditation.
Standards Mapping
Bio Ecko maps its modules to NABH 5th Edition standards:
- AAC (Access, Assessment, and Continuity of Care): Patient registration, appointment scheduling, triage, referrals, discharge planning.
- COP (Care of Patients): OPD visits, IPD care plans, nursing assessments, medication administration, surgical safety checklists.
- MOM (Management of Medication): Pharmacy module -- formulary, dispensing, drug interactions, high-alert medications.
- PCI (Patient Safety and Quality Improvement): Incident reporting, infection rates, clinical indicators, patient identification.
- HIC (Hospital Infection Control): IPC module -- surveillance, hand hygiene, antibiotic stewardship.
- HRM (Human Resource Management): Staff module -- credentials, training records, competency assessments.
- IMS (Information Management System): EMR, audit logs, data security, consent management.
- CQI (Continuous Quality Improvement): Quality indicators, patient feedback, clinical audits.
Quality Indicators
Pre-configured NABH quality indicators with auto-calculation:
- Clinical: Unplanned readmission rate, return to OT rate, hospital-acquired infection rate, patient falls, medication errors.
- Patient Safety: Blood transfusion reaction rate, surgical safety checklist compliance, hand hygiene compliance.
- Operational: Bed occupancy rate, average length of stay, OT utilisation, emergency response time.
- Patient Experience: Complaint resolution rate, patient satisfaction scores.
Indicators are calculated automatically from clinical data and presented on the Quality Dashboard.
Document Management
Manage NABH-required documentation:
- Policy and SOP library with version control and acknowledgment tracking.
- Quality manual maintenance.
- Committee meeting minutes (Infection Control, Quality, Safety, Pharmacy & Therapeutics).
- Internal audit scheduling and findings documentation.
- CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) tracking.
- Mock assessment checklists.
Accreditation Preparation
Bio Ecko supports the accreditation journey:
- Self-Assessment: Run the NABH readiness assessment that checks your system configuration against each standard.
- Gap Analysis: Identify standards that are not yet met with specific action items.
- Action Plan: Create and track tasks to close gaps with responsible persons and deadlines.
- Evidence Collection: Auto-generate evidence documents (reports, logs, metrics) mapped to each standard.
- Mock Assessment: Conduct internal assessments using the NABH checklist format.
- Assessment Preparation: Package all evidence and metrics into the assessment submission format.
