Admitting a Patient

To admit a patient:

Go to IPD > New Admission
Select the patient (must be registered)
Select the ward and bed (from the available beds list)
Assign the attending doctor
Enter the admission diagnosis
Add insurance/TPA details if applicable
Record the expected length of stay
Click 'Admit'

The system creates an admission record, marks the bed as occupied, and starts the daily room charge billing.

ADT Workflow

ADT stands for Admission, Discharge, and Transfer:

Admission -- Patient is admitted to a bed
Transfer -- Patient is moved to a different bed/ward (e.g., from General Ward to ICU)
Discharge -- Patient is discharged after treatment

Each ADT event is logged with timestamp and responsible staff member.
