Overview

The Project Management module helps hospitals plan and track internal projects -- new department launches, accreditation preparations, IT upgrades, construction projects, and process improvement initiatives. It provides Kanban boards, Gantt charts, task assignments, and milestone tracking.

Projects & Milestones

Create projects with:

  • Project name, description, and department owner
  • Start date, target completion date, and budget
  • Milestones with deliverables and due dates
  • Team members with role assignments (Project Manager, Member, Viewer)
  • Tags for categorization (NABH, Infrastructure, IT, Clinical)

The project dashboard shows all active projects with progress bars, overdue indicators, and budget utilization.

Task Management

Break down milestones into tasks:

  • Assign tasks to team members with priority and due dates
  • Kanban board view (To Do, In Progress, Review, Done)
  • Dependencies between tasks (Task B cannot start until Task A is complete)
  • Subtasks and checklists for granular tracking
  • File attachments and comments on each task
  • Time logging for effort tracking

Gantt Chart & Timeline

Visualize project timelines with the interactive Gantt chart:

  • Drag to adjust task durations and dates
  • See dependencies as connector arrows
  • Critical path highlighting
  • Resource allocation view to spot over-allocation
  • Baseline vs. actual progress comparison

Reports

Project reporting includes:

  • Project status summary (on track, at risk, delayed)
  • Task completion rates by team member
  • Budget vs. actual spend
  • Milestone achievement timeline
  • Overdue task aging report
  • Weekly/monthly project status email digest
