Overview

The ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) module provides structured examination templates for otological, rhinological, and laryngological assessments, audiometry integration, endoscopy image management, and surgical planning for common ENT procedures.

Otological Assessment

Structured ear examination:

• Otoscopy findings per ear: External canal, tympanic membrane (intact/perforation with location and size), middle ear status.
• Tuning fork tests: Rinne and Weber with automatic interpretation (conductive vs sensorineural).
• Audiometry integration: Import pure tone audiogram data from connected audiometers.
• Audiogram display with frequency-specific thresholds, air-bone gap, and speech discrimination scores.
• Tympanometry: Type A/B/C classification with compliance and pressure values.

Rhinological Assessment

Nose and sinus documentation:

• Anterior rhinoscopy findings: Septum deviation, turbinate hypertrophy, polyps, discharge.
• Nasal endoscopy: Structured template for middle meatus, sphenoethmoidal recess, nasopharynx findings.
• CT PNS reporting: Structured template with Lund-Mackay scoring for sinusitis grading.
• Allergy documentation: Skin prick test results, specific IgE levels, allergen identification.
• SNOT-22 quality of life scoring for outcomes assessment.

Laryngological Assessment

Throat and voice documentation:

• Oral cavity and oropharynx examination template.
• Indirect laryngoscopy / videolaryngoscopy findings with image capture.
• Voice assessment: GRBAS scale, Voice Handicap Index (VHI) scoring.
• Stroboscopy findings: Mucosal wave, glottic closure, amplitude, symmetry.
• Flexible nasopharyngolaryngoscopy: Structured reporting with screenshot capture at key landmarks.

Endoscopy Image Management

Capture and organise endoscopic images:

• Live capture from compatible endoscopy systems during examination.
• Annotate images with labels and findings.
• Timeline view showing progression across visits.
• Before/after comparison for surgical outcomes.
• Images auto-attach to the clinical note and are accessible from the patient's media gallery.

Surgical Planning

Pre-operative planning for common ENT procedures:

• Tympanoplasty / Mastoidectomy: Type, approach, graft material, ossicular chain status.
• Septoplasty / FESS: Deviation details, targeted sinuses, planned extent.
• Tonsillectomy / Adenoidectomy: Indication, technique, anaesthesia plan.
• Microlaryngoscopy: Lesion details, planned intervention.
• Structured op-note templates with intraoperative findings and post-op instructions.
