Overview

The Dermatology module adds skin-specific documentation with a body surface diagram, lesion description templates using standardized dermatological terminology, clinical photography integration, procedure templates for common dermatological procedures, and cosmetology visit tracking.

Body Surface Diagram

An interactive body diagram (anterior/posterior views) lets dermatologists mark lesion locations by clicking or tapping. Each marked lesion records: morphology (macule, papule, plaque, nodule, vesicle, etc.), distribution pattern, color, size (measured or estimated), and border characteristics. Multiple lesions can be documented per visit, and the diagram carries forward to subsequent visits showing progression.

Clinical Photography

Capture and attach clinical photos directly from a camera or smartphone. Photos are linked to the specific body region and visit. A side-by-side comparison view shows photos from different visits to document treatment response. Patient consent for photography is recorded digitally. Photos are stored securely with access restricted to the treating dermatology team.

Procedure Templates

Templates for common dermatological procedures: biopsy (punch, shave, excisional with specimen tracking), cryotherapy (site, agent, freeze-thaw cycles), electrosurgery (cautery, fulguration, desiccation), chemical peels (agent, concentration, layers, neutralization), laser treatments (device, settings, spot size, passes), and intralesional injections (agent, concentration, volume per site). Each template auto-generates procedure notes and billing codes.

Cosmetology & Aesthetics

Track cosmetic procedure sessions including: Botox/filler injections (units per site, product lot number), laser hair removal (area, settings, session number), PRP therapy, microneedling, and chemical peels. Session packages with pre-paid billing, before/after photo comparison, and scheduled follow-up reminders are supported.

Notes

Clinic tip

Use the body diagram consistently across visits even for simple consultations. Over time, it builds a complete lesion map that is invaluable for monitoring mole changes and tracking chronic conditions.

Tip

Configure the cosmetology package templates (e.g., 6-session laser package) with automatic billing and session countdown tracking.
