Overview

The Endocrinology module provides specialised tools for managing diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other hormonal conditions. It includes structured diabetes care plans, insulin titration tracking, thyroid function monitoring, and growth assessment charts.

The module integrates with lab results to auto-populate hormone levels, glucose readings, and HbA1c trends into the patient's endocrine profile.

Diabetes Management

The Diabetes sub-module (Endocrinology > Diabetes) provides:

Diabetes Registry -- Track all diabetic patients with Type 1, Type 2, GDM, and secondary diabetes classifications.
HbA1c Trend Charts -- Visualise HbA1c over 6-24 months with target bands (good control < 7%, fair 7-8%, poor > 8%).
Glucose Log -- Record fasting, post-prandial, random, and CGMS readings. Supports bulk import from glucometer CSV exports.
Insulin Management -- Document insulin regimen (basal, bolus, premix), dose adjustments, injection sites, and titration history.
Complication Screening -- Structured templates for annual screening: retinopathy (fundus exam), nephropathy (urine ACR, eGFR), neuropathy (monofilament test), foot exam, and cardiovascular risk.
Diet & Exercise Plan -- Calorie-counted meal plans, carbohydrate counting guides, and exercise prescription with target duration and intensity.
Patient Education Materials -- Printable handouts for newly diagnosed patients, insulin self-injection technique, hypoglycaemia management, and sick-day rules.

Thyroid Clinic
