Overview

The Attendance Integration module connects external biometric and access control devices with Bio Ecko's attendance system. It automates attendance capture and eliminates manual data entry.

Device Setup

Configure attendance devices:

Navigate to HR > Attendance Integration > Devices.
Add a device with name, type (Biometric, RFID, Face Recognition), and IP address.
Map the device to a physical location (Main Entrance, OT, ICU, etc.).
Set sync frequency: Real-time, every 15 minutes, hourly, or daily.
Test the connection and verify data pull.
Configure employee-device mapping for multi-location setups.

Data Processing

How attendance data is processed:

Raw punch data (IN/OUT timestamps) is pulled from devices.
Punches are matched to employees by biometric ID or card number.
System computes: present, absent, half-day, late, early departure, overtime.
Unmatched or anomalous punches are flagged for HR review.
Processed attendance feeds directly into payroll for salary computation.
Manual override option for HR to correct attendance records.

Notes

Tip

Use face recognition devices for contactless attendance -- especially important in clinical areas where hand hygiene between biometric scans is a concern.
