Overview
The Performance Review module enables structured evaluation of employee performance through configurable review cycles, goal tracking, and multi-rater feedback.
Review Cycles
Set up and manage performance review periods:
- Create review cycles: Annual, Semi-Annual, Quarterly.
- Define review period start and end dates.
- Select participants: all employees, specific departments, or designations.
- Assign reviewers: direct manager, self-review, peer review, skip-level review.
- Track cycle progress: percentage of reviews completed.
Goal & Competency Assessment
Evaluate employees on goals and competencies:
- Goals: measurable targets set at the start of the review period.
- Competencies: role-specific skills and behavioural attributes.
- Rating scale: 1-5 with descriptive labels (Needs Improvement to Exceptional).
- Self-assessment: employees rate themselves before manager review.
- Manager assessment with written feedback.
- Calibration: HR reviews ratings across departments for consistency.
Notes
Tip
Conduct performance reviews at least semi-annually. Annual-only reviews miss important feedback opportunities and make it harder to course-correct.
